Predictive Assessment of Building
Acoustic Performance
In the ReStart Scampia project, acoustic design responds to a diverse range of functions: residential units, a civic centre, and a nursery school.
For the residential buildings, our work focuses on defining the acoustic performance of building components to ensure adequate privacy between dwellings and common areas, while controlling noise from building services systems.
For the civic centre and nursery school, the project integrates building acoustic performance with indoor acoustic quality. Particular attention is given to spaces intended for verbal communication, where reverberation control and speech intelligibility become key design parameters.
There is no single approach to acoustics.
There is the right design for every space.
The project establishes performance targets aligned with both regulatory requirements and CAM criteria, translating them into design solutions and construction specifications. From the building envelope and internal partitions to building services systems, acoustic materials, and treatments, every element contributes to creating spaces where people can feel comfortable.
